Recently I've taken on two columns at SeriousEats. The first being Sunday Brunch, a series of recipes and ideas for Sunday Brunch. And my second Sunday Supper another recipe series focusing on big Sunday suppers. While I worked at Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge I wrote for the Formaggio Kitchen blog, and before that I contributed to goodeater.org.
The academic writing I've done most actively was a paper I presented at the ASFS Conference about gender dynamics in professional and domestic kitchens. I interviewed four male test cooks about their perceptions of the gender divide, and how it impacted their lives and careers. That was a of couple years ago, I'm hoping to submit my MA thesis to their conference in the future. The time I spent teaching and writing recipes for Create A Cook was focused on the curriculum for 9-11 year old's - the kids there were amazing and rewarding to work with. And in the vein of kids cooking I also did some recipe writing and food consulting for KickinKitchen. And in my video podcast debut I filmed two videos (chicken liver pâté and grilled pig tails) for How2Heroes. | Where to find me...

Blogs of the Past
Here are two blogs of my past, I'll be thrilled if you like them. But please send me a note here, I don't get over to those blogs very much these days. Travels in South East Asia
Written in 2008 about the time I spent traveling through Asia. I traveled with my Mother through Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Singapore. The real purpose of the trip was so that my Mother could look for furniture suppliers but I managed to tag along, eat very well and only make myself a little sick. Toronto Chinatown Blog
Written in 2006, reviews of restaurants in Chinatown. I was also attempting to discuss the changes I was seeing in Chinatown. It's apparent transition from Chinatown to Asiatown through the integration of Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and other ethnically different restaurants. | Academic Food Links:
